The Math Department split into the following groups: Geometry Honors, Algebra 7, Math 6, Algebra 8, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Computer Science 8. These groups updated the curriculum maps.

Once the maps were updated, the math teachers searched for key phrases in the math department's maps. We realized that we will need to create a list of words or phrases that will help us find where, for example linear equations is covered. A few of our searches yielded no hits, even though we know that that topic is covered. We will work on developing these lists and editing our maps to make the searches more affective.

We also searched the Science Department's maps to look for ideas and ways we can incorporate more interdisciplinary assignments or projects in our curriculum. We ran into similar problems we had with our maps, the language we used to search yielded no hits on graphing, yet we know that the science department covers graphing in their curriculum. One suggestion that was made is to have a joint department meeting (Math & Science). Perhaps this can happen after the data has been entered into all the maps.
